Numerical simulation of steam flooding in offshore heavy oil reservoir after water flooding

Abstract Steam flooding is an effective method to enhance oil recovery in heavy reservoirs. However, the influence factors of steam will affect development reservoir after traditional water flooding. So dynamic prediction needs be performed before scheme implemented. In this study, 3D model was established by numerical simulation software CMG; Combined with operating parameters oilfield, temperature, injection timing and quality on effect L7 block offshore studied using model. The results show that compared flooding, has better effect, cumulative production can reach 100.673 × 10 4 m 3 ; With increase temperature quality, production, incremental heat efficiency have increasing trend; This result also suggests higher conforms principle economic development; For timing, earlier more conducive results.
